Did you ever think of our clothes we buy at the mall coming from a plant? Well, I know I sure didn't know that, I mean it never really came to mind anyway. Well, I guess our clothes have to come from something or someplace! The Egyptians made their clothes out of a plant called Flax (linen); they had thousands of acres of this plant. Can't you just imagine thousands of acres of linen which would end up becoming your clothes. How cool is that? Because they had so much of this plant, linen was the number one thing to make clothes out of. They also used animals like goats, sheep, and cattle. Wool was also something they used, but it was very uncommon to find. Can you believe this - I think it is kinda weird and funny - wool was not allowed in temples. It didn't say why, but I would totally like to know. Most clothes in the Egyptian times were a little different than today, but some are the same or very similar.
