Ancient Egyptian women Clothing

So where did the Ancient Egyptians get their clothes then if they didn't have malls? Well, they had to make their clothes. You are probably thinking we have it good now, I mean we can head to Buckle or Pink to get clothes and there you have it - and you don't have to do anything! The Ancient Egyptians had to make their clothes out of the plant Flax, which was a plant they used to make linen. All their clothes were mostly made out of linen, animal, and sometimes wool, but not commonly. The wealthier women would wear a plain or elegant dress, depending upon where they were going. Their dresses would fit very tight; they would never be loose. If you were a peasant women you would have a looser fitting dress and a belt tie. The two dresses were very similar in many ways, though. So, as you can see, things have changed a lot through the past years; but some things have stayed the same, such as clothing.
